Why we exist
Where a person is born should not determine whether they can walk without pain.
For a person living with severe hip or knee arthritis, life begins to blur.

Yet the surgery capable of changing that reality already exists. The problem is access. In Honduras, thousands of people live with debilitating joint disease while the cost of a replacement remains out of reach for many families.
We don't just replace joints. We help people reclaim their lives.
Some patients arrive believing they must accept pain as part of their future.

Each patient is evaluated medically and socioeconomically. The right surgery, for the right patient.
Shared effort
The patient and their family contribute according to their economic capacity. The Foundation mobilizes donations, implants, supplies, and partnerships to cover the rest.
Surgery and follow-up
Standardized protocols, evidence-based practices, and objective measurement of pain, function, and recovery after the procedure.

The need is far greater than our current capacity. We are working toward the development of our own surgical center: a permanent home designed to expand access to high-quality orthopedic surgery in Honduras.
